PAS recently held all their assemblies in Ipoh ...Wanita, Youth and their General Assembly...this would not have happened earlier were it not for the March 8th tsunami...I figured that the General Assembly would be pretty well covered by the msm so i just moseyed in for the youth and the wanita (separate post) assemblies...

Picnic spots in the Kinta Valley
Today is Merdeka day and tomorrow is a holiday. The weather was HOT! today so i headed to the hills and the cool mountain streams. This place below was at Chepor. For those who don't frequent these 'types' of place Ulu Chepor is west of the Kinta Valley at the base of the Kledang Range and off the Jelapang / Chemor road.
..it was pretty crowded this afternoon..whole familes were there...we just found a shallow spot where the kids could play and plonked ourselves down to enjoy the cool water and enviroment....
..the view towards the end of the road....nice place this ..rocky though....
..however a week ago i went to Sg Jahang or Jahang as the villagers call this place. Sg Jahang is east of the Kinta Valley and at the base of the main range. To get there go to Gopeng town ask around for this place. Actually they have a home stay facility here hence the fences and the steps leading to the river. The shot below was taken off the bridge and here the water was fast flowing.
..i went a little further upstream and saw this shallow area where a lot of kids were 'running ' in the water. Now this looked like fun.
....and the glee in the kids faces reflected the way i felt then...
..sheer happiness.......
..well .... until i saw this fella....
whatever...i'll be back though....cheers!!
