...the lighting of the Paschal candle.......a New Light......
...which was then brought into the Church.....
..the church is still in darkness....the light of Christ is then passed to the congrregation
...the Easter candle is placed at the sanctuary ....
...the congregation enters the church...to a new light
...the Elect step up...to be baptised....
...Parish Priest, Fr Phillip Lai, blesses the Baptism Water.....
...it is time for the congregation to renew their Baptism vows...an alter server lights his candle from the Baptism candle...and shares it with the rest of the servers to light their candles ...
..who then share the fire with the congregation....
...the Sacrament of Baptism.....
...after which the newly Baptised are "Presented the Light".....
...the children are anointed......
...while the rest partake of the 'Sacrament of Confirmation'.....
....the mass usually lasts for close to 3 hours... somehow i am never bored...is it reliving history as told through the Bible or is it keeping the faith? .....
