This year i did a round of the churches. The decorations during christmas are usually elaborate. For sure the amount of passion put into a decoration is reflected with appreciation by the parishoners whether they take a family photograph or say a prayer in front of the nativity scene.
OMPH Church(below) as usual was well decorated.
..the nativity scene at OMPH church...looks simple but very attractive....
...outside decoration at OMPH church... the three kings looking for the baby Jesus.....
..at St Johns the Divine Anglican Church (built 1912) ..it was a different atmosphere...small church and congregation .....still maintaining that English character....
(click on the photos to enlarge)
..the choir provided that old christmas atmosphere of yesteryear
..lovely heritage church which has been well maintained...............
..contributing to the Christmas spirit was our new state government...they organised a "Mubibbah Christmas" at Indera Mulia Stadium....and it was a good effort...
..the various denominations participated....
whole families attended... as well as the clergy(photo below-right, l-r, Fr Michael Cheah, Bishop Anthony Selvanayagam and Rev Robin Arumugam)
..the well organised orang asli from Ulu Groh, Gopeng who belong to the Shalom Church ...
they came with their own musicians and choir......
..but this lady Juwita Suwito, the last act had the audience on their feet....
..watch the video to see what i mean...Juwito gave a lively performance and she had the congregation singing along...
..well 99.99% participated...the politicians were deep in discussion......
...before going home....the usual group photo......
undoubtedly the most lively government function i have attended this year....
cheers!!!
