i parked my car at the SamTet school car park along Brewster Road...and went in through the side entrance ( note i'm using the old road names for the overseas Ipohites to keep their bearings)
..i took in a view of the grounds....my first time going into the premises of Perak's MB ...and i've lived in Ipoh all my life.. the view from the front porch looking towards Brewster Road....
..looking out towards Tambun Road.....
I thought i'd mosey along to greet the host...YAB MB Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin... he was greeting well wishers while his wife handed out 'duit raya'
that done i did my photo walkabout..Uncle Lim posing with supporters ...looks like Uncle Lim is in Ipoh alot of the time though our main stream media never high light it..YB Ngeh being interviewed??

..i made my way to the makan2...from the south side of the tent..first off with satay...look at the crowd in the background...Ipoh Town had come for their high tea....
..the crowd looked real hungry....with hands outstretched.....
....a patient crowd full of anticipation ........
..for their "chow min'' fried noodles
.."kacang goreng".....the appetiser before the main course?
..the main thing...lemang and rendang...
..this guy was super busy....splitting the bamboo..and pouring it out...
..for the servers to slice and serve.....
...then the meat curry....dish out and ....
..serve....and gone in no time...keeping outstretched hands awaiting again...
...abit of the curry kuah........
....wazzup!!?...pancakes!!...
...nope..just these pair of cooks frying puri's...
.......a patient crowd full of anticipation ........waiting for their noodles (2)
...great finger food....sausages.......
...it was before 4pm...didn't see much sausage packs left in the tub??
....the satay stall at the other end of the tent....the satay seller with the satay tinted hairdo...man!!!this guy has a passion for his product...a very positive statement.....
....a popular stall around Ipoh ...and now parked in the grounds of the MB's garden..

...while the rakyat were enjoying themselves....doing overtime.....Squad MBI....note the happy smiles...i felt that they were genuine...
....this was the joy of attending this function...whole families together....relaxing and eating together...in a garden setting....
..different races....
....alot of happy faces.....
...together and free to be as they please...in the home of their elected representative....
...now is that a happy face...

....it was a good evening....there was so much food around but i had only one stick of satay and a half bowl of cendol...no matter...just looking at all that food filled me up...
