The hottest realty then was by the Riverside and this is where the club is located..at the rivers bend of the Kinta River and at the junction of Treacher Street and Panglima Street of Old Town.
Other than some modifications to the bay window the club has hardly changed after all these years.
The front of the clubhouse ...an arched entrance...door and windows have glazed bars in geometric patterns...glazed and colorful patterned tiles decorate...

the back of the club..on the 1st floor is a terrace which overlooks the Kinta River.

I wonder if you could update thie piece by pointing out that it is now a history museum/exhibition open to the public. Details are at www.ipohworld.org/exhibition. It is No 1 attraction in Ipoh on TripAdvisor.
