OMPH Family Carnival '09

It was my parish Family Carnival....the opening ceremony was held with the accompaniment of

..the St Michaels School Band...lively piece today.....

..Father Lai and Father Eugene........

..as always there were stalls n stalls of good food, the indian community stall was great...anyway these were some of my 'tar pau's'

..this year we had an 'animal farm', dogs, horses, calf, goats..really nice...the families loved it..especially the dog show.....

..pony rides....

... but there was alot of youth activities....a traditional malay dance danced to the tempo of an quick step Irish melody( i think so) ...most refreshing....

..this young group doing a mime to the tune of Josh Grobin's "You Raise Me Up"

...'i am strong'...apparently the audience knew the words too..

...'you raise me uppppp'......

...this young lady too knew the words......

...the youth from the rangers camp....

..their costumes were really nice....

...but the surprise of the day were these Filipino families...from nowhere..they made their presence felt...and it was wonderful of them to share their culture .....

..their children put on a splendid performance.....

...each performance originated from a different village...

..it was a great family outing...somehow this year i managed to capture the family atmosphere..
i stole a shot of this family photo...mainly because these three sisters were holding hands....how lovely...

...well until next year, from me 'Mei Mei' (below) and me ' Appico' (above)....

cheers!!!!....please watch this video danced to a song by Akon before leaving...

Hi Kintakid,
Thank you so much that you've enjoyed the OMPH Family Carnival yesterday and most of all thank you very much for the words and appreciation you have given the Filipino familie's presentation. I'm linking your blog to mine. :)
